I am Dane Ian Thomsen, and with a love for pulpy adventures, fluid action scenes, and vibrant music, I strive to paint playful, larger-than-life stories in lyrical style. My sci-fi novel ZIGZAG is a sportpunk tale about people and social media, technology and ideas, and the real world they create. It is brushed with neon and chrome.
I’ve been writing and studying storytelling all my life. My other works include short stories, scripts, and poetry, and my short film, ‘June 17th‘, was featured at the 2016 Oceanside International Film Festival in California. As an essayist, I analyze film, literature, and videogame design. I was featured in the Fall 2022 issue of Elektraphrog.
